About

Welcome to USU’s new Peer Mentorship Program! This is a joint program between AOA and OSA that aims at providing support and encouragement to USU students while building connections between all class years. Our Peer Mentorship Representatives work hard to best match Mentees with upperclassman based on many different characteristics to include, branch of service, specialty interest, hobbies, etc. Mentors are willing and eager to share their experiences and answer any questions you may have regarding the unique challenges and opportunities of medical school. Whether you are seeking insight into just one question or looking to build a long-term mentor-mentee relationship, we would love to help.

Peer mentors are prepared to discuss topics such as: career considerations, cultural/acculturation, disability, family demands, financial concerns, academics, assault/harassment, balance/burnout, relationships, chronic health issues, military matters, mood/mental health, and transition/adjustment.

If you would like to get a peer mentor, feel free to contact us.
